This past Sunday, a well-heeled crowd came out to celebrate the 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City. Each year, the annual awards recognize the media for their fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of the LGBT community and the issues that affect their lives. The awards also serve as a way to continue to support the efforts of GLAAD as the media watchdog for the LGBT community. This year, both openly gay and lesbian actors as well as important allies lined the red carpet and took to the stage to honor the men and women who made this year so memorable for the community.

Arguably the highlight of the evening came when Cory Monteith and Naya Rivera of Glee decided on a whim to auction off a kiss. When both Naya and Cory recieved bids for $5,000, John Stamos didn’t want to miss a chance to lock lips and make some extra money for GLAAD, so he hopped on stage and auction his lips. The three then in an unrehearsed moment locked lips with the winners.

Don’t miss the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles and San Francisco as well!

Check out the full list of winners after the jump and a video of the kiss….
