The US territory of Guam has become the first to allow gay and lesbian couples to get married after a federal judge struck down the law. US District Court Chief Judge Frances M. Tydingco-Gatewood made the decision Friday morning, and couples will be allowed to get a marriage license beginning Tuesday morning. Attorneys representing the government have already said that they would respect any court ruling and would not appeal the decision. [AJ]
