The Hawaii State Senate approved a bill to allow gay and lesbian couples to tie the knot in the Aloha State. Earlier this week, the House  already passed the bill so now it is up to Governor Neil Abercrombie to sign the bill into law. Same-sex weddings then are expected to begin as early as December 2. There are now 15 states plus the District of Columbia with marriage equality.

We couldn’t be more excited here at Passport as Hawaii is one of our favorite destinations. Look for our feature on Maui at our December issue on newsstands now or available digitally here.
