Just when we think the momentum for gay and lesbian marriage in Hawaii is strong enough, Hawaii’s leaders continue to make the choice to stand on the wrong side of history. The House Judiciary Committee decided not hear a bill that would legalize same-sex marriage, which, according to most reports, means the issue has been tabled. According to State Rep. Karl Rhoads, who is the chairman of the House Judiciary Committe, he determined there was no political will for the legislation. [star]
