Indiana Colts Players Would Accept a Gay Teammate

Pat McAfee, Reggie Wayne, Cory Redding, T.Y. Hilton, and Greg Toler all responded to Jason Collins’s coming-out announcement by saying that if they were to have a gay teammate they would wholeheartedly have the player’s back. “I think it’s a generational thing,” McCafee said to the camera.”Our locker room, a younger generation, is very much more accepting because we’ve been around more gay people.” The responses were to show that a lot has changed for the Colts since their coach, Tony Dungy, made headlines for donating to anti-gay groups.
