Lead actor in the former-HBO series Looking, Jonathan Groff has been the longest-serving King George III in the Off-Broadway-turned-Broadway hit musical Hamilton. During his nine-month stretch as King George III, he has become an overwhelming crowd favorite. Not only do his fans love him but the music industry does as well after he and the musical’s cast won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. Groff is due to take his final bow on April 9 and hand the role over to Rory O’Malley of Book of Mormon on April 11. The musical portrays the story of one of America’s Founding Fathers, Alexander Hamilton, and is currently playing at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
