Lady Gaga’s upcoming US tour, which kicks off January 14 in Tacoma, Washington, will be including a tailgating component intended to support youth in the prevention of anti-gay and other forms of bullying. The Born Brave Bus Tour will follow Gaga’s tour bus around the country and will arrive at concert venues a few hours before the show, providing information on local suicide-prevention, anti-bullying and mental-health resources. The Trevor Project, Campus Pride, and the National Association of School Psychologists will be present on the bus. A concert ticket is not requited to be allowed entry onto the bus.
Gaga, who is notorious for her outspoken support in favor of originality, was recently the target of controversy in St. Petersburg, Russia where she vocalized her belief in inclusion and equality within a city that has prohibited “homosexual propaganda.”
