Things are heating up in as cramped conditions on airplanes have caused yet another grounding of an aircraft. A Florida woman on board a Delta flight demanded that the flight land so the police could be called after another passenger reclined her seat. On a West Palm Beach–bound flight from New York’s LaGuardia, Amy Fine from Boca Raton was resting her head on a tray table when the woman in front of her reclined, hitting her in the head. The passenger was fine about the incident and began arguing with the woman who reclined her seat. “The flight attendant came over, and that just exasperated what was going on, and then [Fine] demanded that the flight land,” one flyer told the station. “She said something to the effect of, ‘I don’t care about the consequences. Put this plane down now.'”

The situation got bad enough that the flight was diverted to Jacksonville where the woman was released.

This is the third incident in a week in which a flight was grounded due to arguments over legroom. [ABC]
