The International Gay Polo Tournament (GPL) returns to Wellington, Florida for another year of awareness, inclusivity, and equality at the Patagones Polo Club between April 4-6.
This year’s returning sponsor is Lexus, known for its commitment to luxury, innovation, amazing experiences, and supporting organizations that are making impactful change for diverse communities around the world.
GPL’s weekend itinerary includes the annual Players Welcome Reception (by invitation) on April 4, and the Polotini Wigstock party on April 5, serving up cocktails, light bites, a themed wig contest, and a captivating drag show. On Saturday, April 6, prepare for the “main event” tournament and tailgate competition kicking off at 1 p.m. where players from around the world will compete during both The Senator’s Cup and The Founders Cup.
Spectators and friends are invited to join the always popular tailgate competition. Tailgaters are already dreaming up their whimsical tablescapes and decor in preparation for the fun-spirited competitiveness that lines the polo field, with each tailgate becoming its own experience. Try your luck to win Best in Show, Best Cuisine, Best Cocktail, Best Single Tailgate, and Best Multiple Tailgate.
“While this event is a fun and competitive one, it is the desire for equality that pushes us to do more each year,” shared founder of The Gay Polo League, Chip McKenney. “We are excited about the new components this year that we will be announcing soon, and are forever grateful for the unwavering commitment of Lexus for doing all they can to enact change.”
