Marilyn Monroe Returns to Palm Springs

It was in Palm Springs that John Hyde first photographed and “discovered” Marilyn Monroe, so how appropriate that the largest (literally) tribute seen yet to the iconic Hollywood star be located in the center of town? The 26-foot tall sculpture created by Seward Johnson, and modeled after the infamous skirt-blowing scene from The Seven Year Itch, will remain on the corner of Main and Main in Palm Springs until June 2013.

To celebrate the beloved actress and the statue erected in her honor, The Hyatt Regency Suites Palm Springs is offering a “Some Like It Hot” one-night package that includes a complimentary DVD of the famous Marilyn Monroe movie “Some Like It Hot”, two complimentary Diamond-tini cocktails in the SHARE wine lounge, and a complimentary collectable bottle of Marilyn Merlot wine from Napa Valley. Click here for details, or call 1 (760) 322 9000 and request offer code SLIHPS.
