The NBA has fined basketball star Nikola Jokic $25,000 for using an offensive term against gay people. The basketball player uttered the phrase “no homo” back on October 31 during a post-game interview after the Denver Nuggets lost to Chicago.
When talking about opposition player Wendell Carter Jr., he said: ‘I respect his game. He’s crafty, hard worker – if that makes any sense. He’s playing really hard basketball. When we first played with them, he was just shooting the midrange shot. He took two 3 [pointers] today… No homo, he’s longer than you expected. He can jump, he’s right there. He’s really good defensive player. I think he can be a really, really good player,’ he said.
