Washington D.C.’s First Ad with Passport Magazine in 2003 and Their Newly Launched Ad Campaign.

There is so much inclusive advertising this week, we can hardly keep track. Today, though, one of our favorite destinations, Washington D.C., revealed their new LGBT-travel ad campaign, and we couldn’t help but get nostalgic. So, we dug through the Passport archives, and found the first advertisement that Washington D.C. ran with us all the way back in 2003! And my my how things have changed (see above). With same-sex marriage now legal in the District, a cultural bounty, fabulous parties, fine dining, and, ummm the most LGBT-friendly president ever living there, it’s no wonder that D.C. is upping their game to court us. The new “Get a Room” ad is part of a wider campaign that also includes straight couples, and it will be running throughout the mid-Atlantic.
