Framed with a similar vibe to a sneaker or sports water commercial, a new video released by Terrence Higgins Trust, a UK sexual health and HIV charity, showcases British and International Olympic athletes promoting safe sex and condom use.
Genevieve Edwards, Director of Health Improvement at Terrence Higgins Trust, said: “People often look to sportspeople for advice on how to stay healthy, and of course there’s no reason why sexual health shouldn’t be part of that. Whatever your own level of prowess, using a condom during sex will give you the best sporting chance against unplanned pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.” (Gay UK News)
The video itself is sexy and entertaining, employing playful euphemisms, and was released following the UK Olympic summer, during which athletes were given about 15 condoms each!
