Known for her role as a divorced mom on the 70’s hit sitcom One Day at a Time, Bonnie Franklin passed away at the age of 69. Franklin had been battling pancreatic cancer since she was diagnosed in September. Her iconic portrayal of Anna Romano garnered  her Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. The popularity of the show, and Franklin, allowed the actress to stretch her creative muscles by directing a pair of episodes. She continued working on the craft when she directed episodes of both Charles in Charge and The Munsters Today. Later in her life, Franklin took to the stage and worked with Los Angeles–area theater groups.
