One Millions Moms Wants to Stop Jennifer Lopez

The group One Million Moms is at it again, continuously trying to take down anything that even has a drop of LGBT related themes. This summer they tried to protest NBC’s The New Normal, but their efforts failed as the show has officially been signed on for a full season run (but OMM seems to think they are doing the right thing and are still emailing advertisers to pull out). OMM is now taking measures against Jennifer Lopez‘s production company, Nuyorican, and its new upcoming TV show The Fosters, which is about a lesbian couple and their diverse family of adopted and biological childern. OMM is calling for protest of the show and to email ABC in opposition of the show.”Obviously, ABC has lost their minds,” says OMM on their website: “A premiere date has not been set, but One Million Moms wanted to sound the alarm about this new series. It will be airing on the network soon unless we do something about it … None of [The Fosters‘] material is acceptable content for a family show … Let’s stop this dead in it its tracks.” The Fosters is moving forward, with Teri Polo and Sherri Saum having been cast as Stef and Lena Foster in the pilot. Recently, it was revealed that Maia Mitchell has been cast as Callie, a troubled teen with an abusive past who Lena decides to take in, and David Lambert joins the pilot as Brandon, Stef’s biological son. We look forward to seeing this show and  want to congratulate Lopez as a supporter of marriage equality and the LGBT community; a pox on OMM’s right-winged agenda. [HuffPo]
