Porter Airlines Opens Free Newark Lounge

The Porter Lounge via Facebook.

If Porter Airlines had it their way every passenger would get lounge access. Porter Airlines, the Toronto-based company, officially opened its new passenger lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport this week. Open to every Porter passenger, the lounge features comfortable seating, Wi-Fi, cold beverages, specialty coffees, and snacks. Newark joins Toronto and Ottawa as Porter destinations with complimentary lounge access. There’s no free booze on the ground, but Porter is known for filling up passengers for free once in the air! “The Newark lounge is the latest element of our desire to emphasize speed, convenience and service for all of our customers,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “This is now a distinguishing feature for everyone who flies with us from the Greater New York and New Jersey areas.” Now this is what we like to see. Airlines doing something to make the travel experience that much more special, not cutting back on service. [JT]
