Hospitals that treated the victims of the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando will not have to pay for their medical costs. Florida Hospital and Orlando Regional Medical Center worked around the clock for the hundreds of wounded club goers, saving countless lives.
“Orlando Health has not sent any hospital or medical bills directly to Pulse patients and we don’t intend to pursue reimbursement of medical costs from them,” a spokesperson said.
‘We hope this gesture can add to the heart and goodwill that defines Orlando,” Daryl Tol, the president of Florida Hospital said after describing how proud he was of seeing the entire Orlando community come together.
The survivors have suffered enough, and it brings us incredible happiness that they can begin to heal without the burden of medical debt.
