A flight attendant has taken a long-distance relationship to a new level, when she formed an everlasting bond with a dog. Olivia Sievers frequently takes the trip between Buenos Aires and Germany, but on one such occasion, she spotted a canine on the street who she fed and paid some attention to. The dog adopted her. “I tried to change my way because I didn’t want that he follow me back to the hotel,” she said. “But it was not possible. He always came back and followed me. I tried one hour, but he always watched me and followed me. He was really happy that somebody gave him attention.” She named the pooch Rubio and cared for him by giving him an airline blanket to stay warm at night.
On her next trip back to Buenos Aires, Sievers returned to the same hotel, and Rubio was waiting for her. She knew that this time she’d have to continue to take care of him. Contacting a rescue group, Rubio escaped and made it back to the hotel. Last Friday, Sievers was able to fly Rubio home, and he’s enjoying his new home in Germany.’
