While a recent survey showed a huge majority of Québécois didn’t have a problem with gays and lesbians, only 40% said they felt comfortable seeing a gay or a lesbian couple show affection in public. The Quebec government is tackling the statistic head on by releasing ads that show gays and lesbians kissing. The Minister of Justice Bertrand St-Arnaud announced, on March 3, a brand-new media campaign as part of the Government Action Plan Against Homophobia 2011-2016.
