W Hotels partners with photographer Danielle Levitt to celebrate Pride 2017 with the “Queer Me Out” powerful speaker series. The initiative will showcase LGBTQ thought-leaders and outspoken advocates. W Hotel will be hosting panels that discuss hot-button issues and open a dialogue within the community. The first event has already passed on June 9 when it was hosted at W Washington D.C. and two more follow later this summer hosted by youtuber Tyler Oakley. The discussions will be recorded and available via podcast on W Hotels site.“Queer Me Out” will benefit Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors Fund and any listen to the podcast will garner a $1 donation.
- W Ft. Lauderdale: Nightlife is Expression – A panel of leaders who have reinvigorated the nightlife scene, thereby shaping the cultural landscape of our cities (June 29th)
- W Montreal: Transcending Style – A conversation between designers, models and stylists who are thinking beyond the gender construct (August 17th)
The events will showcase a photo series by Levitt that encompasses the diverse speakers including transgender model Avie Acosta, Trans Model Agency founder Peche Di, and performer and artist Stephen Galloway.
