It seems like just yesterday that RuPaul‘s Drag Race was a Vaseline-covered-lens of a show on a never-very-watched network. But now the reality show, after over 100 episodes since 2009, can call itself an Emmy winner. RuPaul took home an Outstanding Host for a Reality of Reality-Competition Program award at this year’s Creative Arts Emmys. Fiercely beating out Jane Lynch, Steve Harvey, Heidi Klum, and Tim Gunn.
“This so special for me because of the 100 plus girls who have so graciously told their stories on our show, who have traveled the world as ambassadors of…dancing to the beat of a different drummer,” RuPaul said. “I feel like I’m in a dream.” [E!]
