A “small bomb” exploded in a women’s restroom in an Evanston, Illinois Target and investigators believe it is connected to protests over the company’s policy to allow transgender men and women to use a bathroom that best associates with his or her gender.
Thankfully, no one was inside the bathroom, when the explosive went off at 4 P.M., and it only caused minor damage. The plastic bottle bomb wasn’t filled with any projectiles, but police are taking the investigation into who placed it extremely seriously.
Target has been a main target for right wingers after the company announced an inclusive bathroom policy.
Update: A person of interest is already in custody.
