It’s Transgender Awareness Week, and LGBT media monitoring organization GLAAD is celebrating by collaborating on a new project with Google. Directed and produced by Rhys Ernst and Zackary Drucker, the #transvoices project features three short films that tell the stories of transgender trailblazers and activists.
The project depicts the journeys and struggles of three transgender individuals: Evan Young, a leader in the trans veteran community; Mara Keisling, a pioneer of transgender policy; and Jasmine Morrell, a tattoo artist in Philadelphia.
This project aims to raise awareness for the National Center for Transgender Equality, the Transgender American Veterans Association, and GLAAD, three leading transgender rights organizations. Watch the three videos below, and find more information here!
