A seemingly innocent kiss at last night’s WNBA game has some gay-rights activists screaming foul. When Mercury star Diana Taurasi and Seimone Augustus skirmished in the fourth quarter, the two began shoving one another, they went nose-to-nose, and that’s when Taurasi gave Augustus a kiss on the cheek.
Apparently the sarcastic gesture was enough for the referee to give them both fouls for the incident. Their small shoving match most likely wasn’t too serious, the two ladies have known one another since they were ten and 12. The incident has some calling the call homophobic.
Check out the video after the jump and let us know if they deserved the foul.
