It has been a long time coming for riders at LAX in Los Angeles, California, to able able to utilize the car service Uber. Last Thursday LAX officially began allowing Uber to drop off and pick up passengers. Right along with Uber, Lyft, is a ride-sharing service now allowed to service riders at LAX.
With more than 74 million travelers going through LAX this is a huge accomplishment for Uber. Passengers will be charged an extra $4 fee for rides to and from the airport but the easy access to an Uber makes it worth while.
USA Today said of this new development, “We are bringing LAX passengers what they have been asking for – better access to reliable, convenient transportation from the airport. Tomorrow, those options expand dramatically with the arrival of UberX.”
