Ugandan Minister for State for East African Affairs Shem Bageine announced that he wants to ban all countries that have legalized gay marriage from adopting Ugandan children. The plan would not only deny same-sex couples from taking in children who are in dire need of a home from Uganda, but also East African countries including Republics of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania.
He told the East African legislative Assembly: “Should our students be adopted by them? And because of that, if we say no then we don’t get aid? No, I don’t accept that.”
