While hundreds of LGBT and ally travel professionals will be heading to Chicago for the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association’s Global Convention from May 1-4 to take the pulse of the worldwide LGBT travel industry, the IGLTA Foundation hopes that many will step out of those dark conference rooms and step away from the bar to make some time to give back to the city of Chicago. On May 4, the Foundation will host a volunteer day. “Volunteering is a great way for the LGBT community to show its support for diverse communities worldwide. We hope that our hard work on May 4 will help as many Chicago residents as possible,” said Charlie Rounds, IGLTA Foundation Board Chair and Managing Director for Brand g Vacations.
