CLTR’s Worship Trans is casting light on faith and the role in which religiosity plays, if any, in the lives of six subjects – Munroe Bergdorf, Dani Gibbison, Elisa Mastrangeli, Mzz Kimberley, Leng Montgomery, and Fox Fisher – all of whom identify as transgender.
Presented as a series of vignettes colored with honest and open dialogue, each person’s story will be illustrated by an artist (or artists) from around the world. Subjects and artists from the creative collective have all lent their support to the project free of charge, called together by the simple prompt of, “What is your religious understanding?”
The six digital shorts will also be accompanied by a print zine, made up of written word, photographs, and original illustrations. In an effort to offset publishing costs, a campaign is underway on Kickstarter to raise money for the project.
All profits from the sale of the zine will go toward Stonewall and Diversity Role Models. For more information on this and other projects, visit here, and watch the trailer after the jump…
