Gay Wine Weekend, hosted by Out in the Vineyard, returns in July, 2024 for another year in California’s sunny Sonoma County. This exclusive event invites the LGBTQ+ community around the country to celebrate three days of fun in wine country.
Last year, Gay Wine Weekend officially relocated to the Russian River Valley/Healdsburg Region of Sonoma County to take advantage of a wealth of new venues, restaurants, and wineries. “It was a huge success and so much fun to introduce guests of Gay Wine Weekend to this part of Sonoma Wine Country,” said Out in the Vineyard owner Gary Saperstein.
The fun kicks off on July 19th with a VIP opening reception and winemakers dinner where you can immerse your palette in the finest wines and culinary creations. Continue on with winery tours on July 20th and taste or buy from some of the world’s most prestigious wines in Northern California. End the evening with the Twilight T-Dance at La Crema Estate & Winery as DJ Blacklow brings house music to wine country. On Friday and Saturday enjoy after parties into the late hours with libations and one-of-a-kind entertainment.
Other events throughout the weekend include a Drag Queen Brunch & Wine Auction featuring famous West Coast drag queens. Take part in the auction with auctioneer Michael Tate and help raise funds for Face to Face, the Sonoma HIV/AIDS Network. Face to Face works to provide compassionate care to people living with HIV/AIDS and their loved ones, and prevention education to the entire community.
Sonoma’s first luxury resort on a working vineyard, Vintner’s Resort in Santa Rosa, is Gay Wine Weekend’s official host hotel. For three days Out in the Vineyard will be taking over the entire resort to host festivities.
