MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow couldn’t fight back her tears when she began discussing the Trump Administration’s globally criticized policy of separating migrant children from their families. The openly lesbian host couldn’t make it through the report because of how emotional the scenes of young children in “tender age” facilities made her.
“I think I’m gonna have to hand this off,” Maddow says before apologizing and ending the segment.
Maddow, like most of us, can’t believe how the United States is treating these families who are just trying to seek a better life.
Join the millions of people (including $100,000 from George and Amal Clooney) who have donated to help reunite parents and children here.
The Trump administration has opened up three "tender age" detention centers in South Texas for babies that have been forcefully taken from their parents.
A fourth infant detention center is about to be opened. https://t.co/By54MCjWmQ
