We Are Travel Girls is hoping to create a global community of traveling girls with a new online presence that combines informative travel articles, inspirational stories, interviews, travel tips, and getaways.
“I am a new mom, an entrepreneur, and surfer girl from California,” says co-founder Vanessa Rivers. “Becky van Dijk is from London and previously had a successful career in finance for 10+ years before she quit to move to Bali and work on We Are Traveling Girls full time!,” she adds.
They launched We Are Travel Girls in June 2016 with the dream of creating a global travel community to inspire, connect, educate, and empower female travelers around the world. Now, they publish five stories per week written by female travel bloggers from a community (100,000+ UMVs) and feature inspirational women and charities monthly.
“We also feature thousands of female travelers on our popular Instagram page (375,000+ followers), hold monthly Meet Ups in different cities around the globe, and we run Travel Girls Getaways hosting unique, affordable luxury and charity trips around the world! And this year we will officially be launching Travel Girls Giving, the charity branch of We Are Travel Girls that is dedicated to supporting charities, non-profits and organizations working to help people, animals, and the planet,” she tells of the growth of the website.
