Axel Hotels, the first hotel chain in the world to be dedicated to the LGBT traveler and has been revolutionizing the gay-travel industry since its inception for its “hetero-friendly” policy, is opening its second beach resort. The AxelBeach, will be located in the Balearic Islands, and will serve as the first step in a major expansion for the brand that plans to open ten hotels in the next five years.
Travelers won’t have too long to wait for the new property to open in the idyllic gay-friendly destination, with an expected opening in May, according to Albert Olivé, CEO of Axel Hotels. The new hotel will be located in Calad’en Bou, southwest on the island, at the end of the beautiful bay of San Antonio.
Complete with 89 apartments, including one or two suites, a fitness center, spa and wellness centre, and a chill-out terrace to enjoy the unique atmosphere of Axel hotels, the new property will be a meeting point for the gay community and visitors in the gay-travel-rich destination.
LGBT travelers can also look forward to a second hotel opening in Berlin and a new property in Madrid (just in time for WorldPride).
