It’s Pride Month, and there are countless wonderful LGBTQ+ influencers, actors, comedians, singers, and activists to follow online. We’re highlighting a few of our favorite LGBTQ+ content creators right now to celebrate during Pride Month and all year long. Happy Pride!
This trans legend and climate activist backpacked 100 miles in drag across California last year in an attempt to raise one million dollars for eight different outdoor nonprofits. And it was a success! Pattie co-founded The Outdoor Oath, a nonprofit committed to helping BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities get outside into nature.
Comedian, writer, actress and activist Tig Notaro is a figure to know right now. She’s also been on the scene for a while, making Rolling Stone’s list of “50 best stand-up comics of all time” back in 2017. Not only does she have various Emmy and Grammy-nominated stand-up specials, but she continues to stay relevant by advocating for social justice issues online. Today, she hosts the popular podcast “Don’t Ask Tig” in which she gives comedic advice to guests and listeners.
Model, author, activist, what can Munroe Bergdorf not do? Bergdorf first gained prominence as the first transgender model for L’Oreal in 2017, and nearly a decade later she still advocates for racial issues and LGBTQ+ rights. She currently serves as a UN Women UK Changemaker supporting gender equality in the U.K. and beyond. She also serves as a contributing editor for British Vogue and regularly collaborates with organizations like Trans Solidarity Alliance to raise funds and awareness for trans folks.
If you haven’t seen any online content featuring Jinkx Monsoon you’re missing out on some major laughs. Not only is Jinkx a talented actor, coming off a run as Mary in Oh, Mary! in February, Jinkx is now playing Judy Garland in a limited run of “End of the Rainbow” at the Soho Theatre Walthamstow. She is also the first and only two-time winner of “Ru Paul’s Drag Race” after winning in 2013 on season 5 and again in 2022 on All Stars season 7.
Troye Sivan is a major musical artist who’s probably on your playlist today,. He got his start as a very early influencer after starting a YouTube channel in 2007. He then rose to popularity on the platform by uploading covers of songs and collaborating on videos with other prominent YouTube stars of the era. Today, Sivan is on the cutting edge of queer art, making music with artists like Charli XCX and Addison Rae, dressing in drag for music videos and even being dubbed a “queer icon” by the internet, according to Them.
New to the scene is influencer Cyrus Veyssi who rose to popularity by making short form comedic content on Instagram and TikTok. They were featured in Forbes in 2024 and also made it on to the #TIME100Creators list for 2025. An Iranian-American creator, Veyssi advocates not only for LGBTQ+ people but for Persian youth. Often making videos with their father, Veyssi is vulnerable with their online presence, vlogging parts of their life and sharing their relationship with their gender identity through the years.
More commonly known for his Instagram handle @plussizetransguy on Instagram, Shane Stinson is not just a trans man advocating for trans rights, but he also advocates for body positivity, as our culture becomes more obsessed with thinness during the age of Ozempic and other weight loss drugs. Living in the midwest, Shane’s coming out story was shared by the University of Missouri’s website and eventually picked up by the Associated Press. As a result, Stinson has inspired LGBTQ+ people around the country who have heard his story, and are here to follow along on his journey.
Best known as Elle Argent on the Netflix LGBTQ+ hit series Heartstopper, Yasmin Finney is a Black British actress who also happens to be a trans woman. Following her breakthrough Netflix role, Yasmin has gone on to use her platform as space for advocacy. But before she got that big role, she got her start as a TikTok influencer, posting content on her experiences as a Black trans woman. Today, she continues to share her story with the world and often partners with organizations like Stonewall and U.K. trans advocacy organization Mermaids.
Musician, activist, writer, composer, Hamed Sinno is a symbol of love, acceptance and activism at its finest. Lead singer of Lebanese indie-rock band “Mashrou’ Leila” Sinno uses their online platform to advocate for worldly issues like the current attacks on Lebanon and Gaza by the U.S. and Israel. In their art, Sinno writes of queer love and challenges common stigmas surrounding queerness in Lebanon and beyond.
