Last year Air India and Air France celebrated International Women’s Day by operating their planes with 100% all-female crew members, and this year they’re continuing that tradition. Air India’s flights to Newark, London, and Singapore will be helmed by all-women crew members. Air India Express, a subsidiary of Air India, is also flying similar flights to Bahrain and Doha. Instead of operating their planes with all-women staff, Air France-KLM celebrates this day with special gifts for women passengers when they check in at Mumbai, Delhi, or Bangalore airports. Jet Airways is celebrating by giving any group that has one woman in it a special discount when they book online. [TheHindu] and [TheTimes]
