Big Wins for LGBT Community at 57nd Grammy Awards

Openly gay singer Sam Smith made history at last night’s 57nd Grammy Awards when he won four awards. Smith walked away with for awards that included: Best Pop Vocal Album, Song of the year, Best New Artist, and Record of the year. “It was only until I started to be myself that the music started to flow and people started to listen,” Smith said. “Just a quick one, I want to thank the man who this record is about who I fell in love with last year. Thank you so much for breaking my heart, because you got me four Grammys.”

Out singer/songwriter Chad Vaccarino from Great Big World picked up a win in Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song “Say Something” with Christina Aguilera.
