It seems like each year a new singer comes along to put their twist on the classic 1950’s song Santa Baby, but it was Eartha Kitt who made the tongue-in-cheek jingle so popular during the holiday season of 1953. The song represented the post-war zeitgeist of America, and it has been a holiday staple ever since. A few of the many singers who have performed the song include, Maria Muldaur, Everclear, RuPaul, Kate Ceberano, Taylor Horn, Shakira, Madonna, Jhene, Macy Gray, Natalie Merchant, Faith Evans, Boney James, Kylie Minogue, Ste van Holm, The Pussycat Dolls, LeAnn Rimes, Kellie Pickler, Mae West, Paloma Faith, and Taylor Swift, and Dean Martin. For a special holiday treat, we’ve included Liza Minnelli and Alan Cumming doing a great duet of “Baby It’s Cold Outside.”
