New Delhi, India was the scene of a colorful display of solidarity this weekend as hundreds of LGBT people and their allies marched down the streets waving rainbow flags and banging on traditional Indian drums—all in the hope of ending anti-gay discrimination. Although there was an end to the Colonial Era law that banned gay relations four years, the LGBT community faces much stigma in the conservative country. The march ended with a strong showing of support in Jantar Mantar, the capitals main protest square, where people danced and handed out pamphlets and flags.
