Gucci will make history at this month’s Milan Fashion Week as it signed actress and model Hari Nef to appear on the runway during their men’s fashion show. Nef is a transgender woman who appeared on January 18.
Nef is one of eight women to appear during the men’s show wearing clothes are meant for the male consumer. Sound confusing right? The idea to have women modeling men’s clothing is part of Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s vision to create not only gender-fluid clothing, but more unisex fashions (or clothes that will inspire all genders). His past runway shows turn the fashion industry on its head for using male and female models.
