Meet Logan, American Girl’s First American Boy

Meet Logan, American Girl’s First American Boy

Long a staple of elementary school kids everywhere and the band of parents’ wallets everywhere, American Girl has been churning out must-have dolls, stories, and accessories that cover all girls from all walks of life. Now, the company is making history for the brand by releasing its first-ever American Boy doll. Enter Logan Everett, the drummer of an American Girl band fronted by another new doll Tenney Grant. The company hopes that his introduction will please both current fans as well as acquiring new customers (particularly some boys).

“A boy character has been a top request from our fans for decades,” says American Girl Spokeswoman Stephanie Spanos, adding that along with two new historical characters  the toy line this year will bring out a larger number of dolls with modern story lines than at any time in its 31-year history. “We’re hopeful Logan will appeal to both girls and boys . . . For boys, we know Logan can speak directly to them and give them something unique and special to call their own.”

The 18-inch-tall new addition and his set of drums, hit stores tomorrow.
