The official embassy of Russia in the UK, tweeted a controversial cartoon showing Europeans as pigs waving a rainbow flag. The Eurozone, which is being represented by pigs behind a barracks (the pig is representative of PIIGS, an economics term for Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece, and Spain who were at the head of the banking crisis).
The pigs are waving a rainbow flag, linking the economic crisis to the LGBT community. The tweet has not been taken down despite widespread criticism.
