Transgender Man Denied Health Care in Colorado

The ACLU has asked the Colorado Civil Rights Commission to review the complaint by a man who was denied access to health care. This is the second legal action the ACLU has taken in recent weeks related to transgender people and access to health care. Dashir Moore, the transgender man, had approval from his employer-based insurance company for transition related care. Two days after his surgery, he was informed his insurance was not going to cover his expenses, leaving him with a $30,000 bill.
