ABC Developing Single-Cam Comedy Surround Gay Mexican-American Family in the Heart of Texas

A still untitled multi-generational family comedy with a same-sex couple is being developed by ABC. Based on the life of Real O’Neals writer Rob Sudduth, the show will follow a man, his husband, and son as they move back into his Mexican-American family home in Texas and what comes with a clash between his family’s more traditional values and their cemented modern-day family. The series has been penned by Rob Sudduth with Real O’Neals co-creators Casey Johnson and David Windsor supervising. [Deadline]
