Bob Dylan Sings About Gay Love in Gender-Swapped Version of ‘She’s Funny That Way’

Bob Dylan has recorded a beautiful rendition of a classic as part of a gay and lesbian wedding anthems compilation. The singer covered the song “She’s Funny That Way.” Numerous female artists have recorded the song, including Billie Holiday, Etta James, and Liza Minnelli,

Dylan altered the lyrics to sing “He’s Funny That Way” instead. The song was co-produced by Tom Murphy who said: “If you look at the history of pop music, love songs have predominantly come from one heterosexual perspective. If we view music as something that brings people together, shouldn’t these popular songs be open to everyone?”

The album is part of MGM’s efforts to expand the hotel and casino brand into an entertainment brand. Chief Experience Office and CMO of MGM Resorts International Lili Tomovich says:  “The vast majority of our revenues come from entertainment.

The Universal Love album is available on Spotify below and iTunes and includes singers like Kesha, St. Vincent, and Valerie June. It will also be released on 10,000 vinyl albums, and it will be available on April 21. [AdAge]
