OK, guys are you getting excited for National Rum Day on the 16th? We are too, so much so, we’re going to cheat and celebrate a little early by mixing up one of these perfect pina coladas. You can always get your hands on of these sugar cane-derived sweet treats from any Caribbean hotel or tiki bar, but the fine folks at the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico vouch that their classic pina colada is the best there is. We’ve tried it, it is!
Add the rum, cream of coconut, cream and pineapple juice in a blender. Add the ice and blend until smooth for about 15 seconds. Serve in a 12-ounce glass. Garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry.
