Portugal’s parliament today approved a bill that will allow gay and lesbian couples to adopt children. The adoption bill, which narrowly passed with a vote of 99-94, allows for same-sex couples either to adopt their partner’s biological child or an adopted child. The heavily Catholic country approved gay marriage back in 2010 but without any sort of adoption rights. [PAJ] via [JMG]
