Steve Grand is everywhere! Since going viral in 2013 with his country anthem “American Boy” the out singer has been releasing music and videos, and running around social media in his Speedos. Last month he bared all (almost) for the Broadway Bares charity and currently is holding a summer residency at the Art House in P-Town. Now he’s headed to our screens as an actor in Boy Culture: The Series.
The recently announced sequel series of the original 2006 Boy Culture movie will also star original cast member and Noah’s Arc star Darryl Stephens and social media personality, Matt Crawford. The show will be set up as six 15-minute episodes to culminate into one 90-minute feature. The original creators had started a kick-starter and are currently looking to gain funds to shoot and add more to the cast.

“Directed by Q. Allan Brocka; with a script by Brocka and Boy Culture novelist/blogger Matthew Rettenmund, and with production by Stephen Israel and Philip Pierce, the sequel will explore themes of sexuality, sex work, age, race, closeted celebrities, cosplay, PrEP, and how gay men can make a committed relationship work in a world where sex — just like your favorite show to binge-watch — is available on demand.”
