‘Teen Wolf’ Heartthrob Keahu Kahuanui Cast in Gay Role on ‘The Originals’

As you may have noticed, MTV’s Teen Wolf is something of a revolving door for young Hollywood’s most promising gay actors — Charlie Carver (I Am Michael) and the newly-minted Colton Haynes (Arrow), included. What more would you expect from the show that brought America’s first bisexual, buddhist werewolf to primetime?

So, as Teen Wolf enters its final stretch as a once-hit show for teeny boppers and twenty-something Twitter gays, it’s heartening to know that one chiseled alum will make the move out of Beacon Hills in favor of another supernatural drama.

Hawaiian heartthrob Keahu Kahuanui, who plays human love interest to Charlie Carver’s werewolf character, Ethan, will appear as a series regular on the fourth season of The Originals as the “sexy and charming” Eddie, a new (again, human) flame for Steven Krueger’s vampire character, Josh.

We’re just happy to see more of Kahuanui, but it’s also special to see an out actor picking up work with openly gay roles on TV, so, cheers to that! Catch Keahu Kahuanui as the The Originals‘ new season begins midseason, only on The CW.
