As Pride celebrations around the world begin, the highly anticipated WorldPride Washington DC 2025 is also gearing up.
WorldPride is packing an impressive schedule, and if you’re heading to Washington, DC between May 17 and June 8 you’re sure to already have some Pride events on your itinerary. Here’s a recap of the not-to-miss WorldPride events.
May 23-June 8 – International Choral Festival: This event is presented by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington and will feature daily hour-long pop-up performances from singers from around the world at different venues throughout the city. This festival is free and open to the public with premium passes and reserved seating available.
May 27-29 – WorldPride Film Festival: If you are hoping to see more LGBTQ-themed films from across the globe, attend screenings at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema – Cojeaux Cinemas and Atlas Performing Arts Center – Sprenger Theater at the end of May. Films from various genres will be featured in celebration of 50 years of D.C. Pride. This year’s film fest is presented by the WorldPride Arts & Culture Committee and Queer Film Institute.
May 31 – The Welcome Ceremony + Concert will take place at Nationals Park where Shakira will perform her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.
May 30-June 4 – Capital Cup Sports Festival – Athletes can participate in this celebration of LGBTQ+ sports by registering online to compete, volunteer, referee or spectate. Sports include rugby, regatta, road cycling, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, golf, basketball, cornhole, climbing, dodgeball, kickball and more.
June 4-6 – Human Rights Conference – After you’ve had your dose of kickball and rugby, join great minds at this conference where changemakers, advocates, and allies from around the world will come together for conversation, workshops and collaboration to “ignite action and empower every participant with the tools, the knowledge, and the inspiration to create meaningful change.”
June 5 – Pride Celebration Concert. The International Pride Orchestra will join forces with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington at 7:30 p.m. at Strathmore Music Center for an evening of music. Get tickets.
June 6 – 17th Street Block Party. This event takes place from noon until 10 p.m. along 17th Street, N.W. in the Dupont Circle neighborhood where a beverage garden keeps drinks flowing and LGBTQ+ entertainment sets the vibe.
June 6-7 – Pride on the Pier Boat Parade & Fireworks show at The Wharf hosted by the Washington Blade (Friday 3-10 p.m. and Saturday noon to 10 p.m.) prideonthepierdc.com
June 6 – 7 – World Pride Music Festival at the RFK Festival Grounds, This two day festival spans three performance stages. Artists include Jennifer Lopez, Gallants, Marina, Paris Hilton, Rita Ora, Tinashe, Betty Who, LP Giobbi, Patrick Mason and Trisha Paytas among others, with a closing set by Zedd on Friday. Also on Saturday see Troye Sivan, Grimes, Kim Petras, Purple Disco Machine, Ray, Sofi Tukker, Anabel Englund, Coco & Breezy, Crush Club, Aluna, Sasha Colby and a DJ set by RuPaul.
June 6 – The Full Bloom. The East Coast’s most iconic queer collectives and performers come together for WorldPride’s premiere LGBTQ+ nightlife event. See the best of music and dance with DJs and live performances acros three stages across 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space starting at 9 p.m. Get tickets.
June 6 – LUSH: The DC Lesbian Nightclub Experience starts at 10 p.m. and features an “all-dyke DJ lineup” with Lady Lavender, Flotussin and Jacq Jill. ra.co
June 7 – WorldPride Parade steps off at 2 p.m. at 14th Street and T Street, N.W. The parade will course down 14th street to Freedom Plaza and then Pennsylvania Avenue.
June 7 – Unraveled: The Official Women’s Party for WorldPride 2025 rages on from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. at The Park at 14th. Celebrating queer women, femmes, trans and non-binary baddies with over 5,000 attendees, an all-female DJ lineup and special celebrity guests.
June 7-8 – WorldPride Street Festival is scheduled from noon until 10 p.m. along Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. between 9th and 3rd Streets. Party all day long at food courts, beverage gardens, a Camp Pride Family Area / kids’ zone. Shop community vendors, enjoy activities, entertainment and more.
June 7-8 – Post-Parade + Closing Concerts at the Street Festival and Concert Grounds at 3rd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. Post-parade performers include Cynthia Erivo, David Archuleta, CeCe Peniston and Kristine W, plus Doechii, Khalid, Brooke Eden, 2AM Ricky, Parker Matthews, and MkX.
June 8 – The International Rally + March on Washington for Freedom is scheduled for Sunday, June 8 with the rally beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the march kicking off from the Lincoln Memorial (2 Lincoln Memorial Circle, N.W.) at noon. The march will end near the U.S. Capitol Building for the WorldPride DC Street Festival and Closing Concert.
